Shocking Coincidence

I had to take a pizza delivery really late tonight. When I got to this guys house he stepped out and closed the door behind him. When he went to sign the CC slip he noticed that the amount was wrong. This guy seemed a little overly ticked off about it. I assured him I would call the manager and we would get it all sorted out. Since it was cold outside he asked me to step in. I normally don't do this because there are a lot of crazies that have guns and stuff in there house. This guy seemed fine so I thought it was cool.

I was on the phone as I stepped inside and didn't pay much attention at first. I started to explain to the manager the whole situation until I started glancing around this guys house. As I looked around I immediately hung up the phone. I literally think I might have muttered, "Holy S#@* OMG WTF!!!!!!" :36_1_25:

In plain sight were several handguns, AK-47s, AR-15s, shotguns, long guns, assault rifles, thousands in ammunition, Hi-Cap Mags, holsters, slings, more and more boxes of ammo. My jaw dropped and I kind of looked around like I walked into a room full of chopped up kids. This guy saw my reaction and immediately realized he had forgotten about his stash out in the open. A couple of guys walked into the room each heavily armed with assault rifles and handguns holstered.

I think they waited for my reaction for a second until I blurted out, "Whoa this is friggin awesome." The guy was like, really??? I talked with them for a few minutes but these guys weren't joking around. Guy told me he spent $6000 today at the gun store. They had an excellent arsenal. Turns out they literally wiped out the gun shop (where I go) of everything. Cleared the shelves of 7.62, handguns, shotguns, assault rifles, etc. One guy was gleefully holding up the last AK they had in stock. This ticks me off, because I wanted to get one tomorrow and some ammo!!!!!:s15:

Anyway there is a good chance this guy was a GIMer or someone who thinks exactly like us. This guy could very well put most of us to shame from what I saw. They had a hell of a lot of weapons. I got to hold about 4 or 5 different weapons as I was talking to them. At the end of all the chit chatting and laughing we kind of forgot what we are all yelling about. I almost forgot I was at work with how awesome all of it was.

I learned one thing tonight. I am not crazy!!!!!! Others are doing the EXACT SAME THING!!!!

I'm a plumber by trade. I have met some very prepared people in my travels. Most are more careful about leaving their guns in the open but I have seen basements that were literally stocked like Wal-Mart.
We have actually started keeping a list of people that are obviously prepping. Maybe in the future we might want to set up trade with them, a M.A.G., or whatever.
By the way, the list is misfiled under an oddball heading. If somebody ever did find it they would think we had bid a job for them or what-not.

If the guns had been carefully cleaned before to remove fingerprints, and if the other guys wore gloves while handling the guns you touched (or if they only handled different parts of the gun that could be cleaned later), then it was really nice of those guys to let you leave your fingerprints all over some of their guns. Since they collect lots of guns, it is probably safe to assume that they wouldn't leave the guns with your fingerprints where they could be found later, like at a crime scene for example. :no_ma: Doesn't it just warm your heart to hear more stories of random kindness by strangers who are into heavy artillery? :36_3_12:

Hopefully a GIMer would know enough to hide his stash from the pizza guy.

The above is a very good reason to hide your stash. No offense to Mr Whales, but I do NOT want to be on anybody's list unless I choose to reveal my preps to a friend.

Keep it secret, keep it safe!

I havent had anything like that happen to me...but...
I keep running into people at work and here and there
that just start conversations out of the blue about
all of this.

I have had a few people even strongly recommend that
I stock up and arm up...so I play kinda dumb and pick
their brains about it and what I should do.

I ask their advise...and am suprised how in tune some
of these people are.

My boss who knows nothing about me outside of work
other than I am into making blades and that I like
cats suggested I arm up....he was very very careful
about the way he approached me about it.
He's a good old southern boy...one of the few people
I respect where I work...hes quiet and layed back.
For him to say this to me...well its scary and refreshing
all at the same time..

09 will be an interesting year....I just hope it dosent
get too interesting...

He was stupid to let you enter the house.

How easy is it to imagine a frightened, fully indoctrinated pizza boy calling the FBI about "terrorists" with hundreds of weapons and bombs in a house down the road.

Paying a couple of bucks extra for a pizza is a lot better than being raided by the BATF.

I hope you got a good tip. 50 rounds of 7.62 would be fair.

It never fails to amaze me what people leave out for a perfect stranger like me to see. Guns, cash, preps, porn, sex toys, bla, bla, bla,.

I work with my Dad and I told him about the folks and he has the list. I did not and would not however mention it to any of our employees. You can bet your sweet ass that any one of them would have told everybody at the shop about it.

Yeah Really!
The guy drops $6000 at a gun store, but quibbles over a few bucks for a friggin PIZZA??
Truly, pennywise and pound foolish to take a risk over a few bucks by inviting some pizza guy into his house. With his arsenal out. In plain view. And he invites a stranger, pizza guy INTO HIS HOUSE OVER A FEW BUCKS?:favorites21::confused_ma::5_1_120:

Wiped out a gun store with $6000? Must not have had much. What does an AK go for there?

You should of called the cops. I'm sure they could of planted drugs and then take the whole stash.

Thats the first thing I thought as well. This guy doesnt know you're a GIMer and while on the surface there is nothing illegal about what he was doing (assuming none of the gear was illegaly purchased, hes free to have a thousand guns, if he so chooses) letting you in on it was a VERY VERY VERY bad idea.

like caligula said, you could be some college kid liberal socialist obamaton and call the ATF in a heart beat saying you suspect a major terrorist cell at such and such location.

That guy wouldnt see any of his guns for a very long, long time, even if he was totaly cleared in the end, which he likley would not be.
